I thought most people would like to know that the doll has only one strand of hair (different color than the rest) that changes color. You can see it in the picture if you look closely. I then went to see if I could help her and discovered that there is only one strand that changes from lavender to light blue. By dipping the whole strand of hair, the color change was so minor, that she didn’t even notice. When I used the mini sponge included and changed only a small part of the hair strand, I was then able to see two different colors. My daughter and I were both dissapointed. It is still a neat mermaid barbie, but don’t buy it expecting a dramatic hair color change.
